How to verify your identity

1. Confirm your basic details

Make sure the name and date of birth you’ve entered match the information on your ID. If you spot any discrepancies, update your details before proceeding.

2. Choose your ID type

Select the country that issued your ID and the type of document you’ll be using. Acceptable documents are official identification documents as per your country’s requirements.

3. Upload your ID

Take a clear photo of your ID using your device’s camera or upload a pre-saved image. Ensure the image meets these requirements:

  • All details are visible and easy to read.
  • There is no glare or blurring.
  • The document is fully captured in the frame.

Once you’ve uploaded the image, review it to confirm its quality.

4. Submit your ID

If everything looks correct, click Confirm to submit your ID for verification. If the image isn’t clear, you can choose Retake to upload a new one.

5. Upload a selfie

As part of the identity verification process, you’ll need to upload a selfie. This ensures that the person submitting the documents matches the account holder.When prompted, click Let’s take a selfie. Follow these tips to ensure your photo is accepted:

  • Make sure your whole face is visible.
  • Ensure your face is well-lit and not in shadow.
  • Don’t worry about how you look—focus on clarity and visibility.

Position your face within the on-screen guide and use your device’s camera to take the photo. Make sure to stay still for a clear image.

6. Review your selfie

After taking the photo, you’ll see a preview. Check that your face is clearly visible and the image meets the requirements. If it looks good, click Confirm.If the image isn’t clear, you can click Retake to try again.

7. Confirm your address information

As part of the verification process, you’ll need to provide proof of your home address. This ensures your account details match your residence information.Review the address information you’ve provided. Ensure it matches the details on the document you’ll be uploading. If there are any errors, update your address before continuing.

8. Choose your proof of address document type

Select the type of document you’ll use to verify your address. Accepted documents include:

  • Utility bills (electricity, water, gas)
  • Landline phone bills
  • Bank statements
  • Official residence declarations or affidavits
  • Letters issued by the government or a solicitor
  • Rental or tenancy agreements

9. Upload and submit your document

Take a clear, color photo of your document or upload a scanned copy. Ensure the file meets these requirements:All information is readable.The document is dated within the last 12 months.The file is in an accepted format (JPEG, JPG, PNG, PDF, or GIF) and under 8MB.Once uploaded, review the document to confirm it’s clear and accurate. When you’re ready, click Confirm to submit your proof of address for verification. If the image isn’t clear, you can upload it again.

10. Enter your tax information

To complete your account verification, you’ll need to provide your tax details. This step ensures compliance with tax regulations in your country of residence.Provide your Tax Identification Number (TIN) or equivalent, as issued by your local tax authority. Make sure the number is accurate and matches official records to avoid delays in verification.From the dropdown menu, choose the country where you are a tax resident. This should be the same country where you file your taxes.Once you’ve entered your details, double-check everything to ensure accuracy. When you’re ready, click Next to proceed to the final steps of verification.As part of the verification process, you’ll complete a financial assessment to provide details about your financial background. This information helps Champion Trader ensure its services are suitable for your needs.

11. Select your source of income

Choose the option that best describes your primary source of income. Options include:

  • Salaried employee
  • Self-employed
  • Investments & dividends
  • Pension
  • State benefits
  • Savings & inheritance

You’ll also find a note explaining why this information is collected. Click Got it to proceed.

12. Specify the industry of your employment

If you’re employed, select the industry that best matches your work. Options range from finance and technology to real estate and manufacturing. If you’re unemployed, you can select that option as well.

13. Choose your occupation

Next, pick the option that most closely aligns with your current occupation. Roles include professionals, managers, service workers, and more. If your role isn’t listed, choose the one that comes closest to your job description.

14. Specify your source of wealth

Choose the option that best describes where your wealth originates. Options include:

  • Accumulation of income/savings
  • Cash business
  • Company ownership
  • Divorce settlement
  • Inheritance
  • Investment income
  • Sale of property

Select the option that most closely matches your primary source of wealth.

15. Provide your education level

Next, select your highest level of education from the following options:

  • Primary
  • Secondary
  • Tertiary

16. Share your annual income

Indicate your approximate net annual income by selecting the applicable range. Options include:

  • Less than $25,000
  • $25,001 - $50,000
  • $50,001 - $100,000
  • $100,001 - $500,000
  • Over $500,000

17. Share your estimated net worth

Finally, choose the range that reflects your estimated total net worth. Options include:

  • Less than $100,000
  • $100,000 - $250,000
  • $250,001 - $500,000
  • $500,001 - $1,000,000
  • Over $1,000,000

18. Submission confirmation

Once all the required information is entered, your financial assessment will be submitted for review. You’ll see a confirmation message indicating that your documents are being reviewed.Click Done to complete the financial assessment and return to the Champion Trader Hub. Here, you’ll be able to see the status of your document verification (which will usually take a minute or less).
